i thought the gold meant 5 years, which is decided by how much you wanna pay when you get off your P's

The lady asked me how long i want to pay for, and i said as long as i can, so i got a 5 year one, i think they are diff colours or something if you get 3 year or whatever, i could be wrong though.

so over the rta and how confusing everything gets, and how long i have to wait when i go in there.

bring back red P's for one year then blacks, what was ever wrong with that anyway.

im on my blacks woot! and the whole gold licence thing is for good behavior, asked about it when i got my blacks Razz

if u haven't got a fine in the last 10 F#&%!#G years you get a gold license and a much cheaper rego... its almost half price just because the cops haven't caught you in ten years > . < ..... proof that being discrete pays off in the long run (but who wants to do that for 10 years :/ )

nah, not true, i got my golds, only abit over a year since my neg driving, and it doesnt change your rego as far as i'm aware.

its just that you have a 5 year license instead of 2 year or whatever, you pay abit less per year for your license, but its a bigger lump sum up front.
unless im totally missing something?

idk now cause thats what i was told by the dude at the rta when i got my open license..... i thought i had been given a gold license but the way to tell is its not yellow (which i thought was gold) and the holographic background it all gold, not the greeny/purple colour that my ordinary run off the mill 5yr yellow license (aka "blacks") is......
but still joz im starting to wonder if the rta dude was just making it up to save face in a way or something along those lines???..... im starting to think he was wrong....
