My story about go-karting with my bro and his mates at extreme indoor go-karts:

for the first 2 weeks I was kind of average just keeping up but by the 3rd week I won, clean sweep all 3 races.

I got faster and faster (my bro keeps saying "hes not allowed back next week") track record was 18.096 and my best time was a 18.242.

Then they changed to a harder compound tyre so that they last longer, which added about 1 second a lap which kinda bummed everyone. Luke (the owner) said no will get under 19 seconds, after the next session I had crept into the 18's again with a best lap of 18.555. So can I claim lap record?

Anyway, we are starting an 8 week racing league tomorrow against ~16 people. Apparently at the end the top 3 get a trophy but the winner (rumors have it) get a drive in either a proper go-kart or a race car of some sort.

So, I have high hopes but I'm not putting money on it (just yet )

As for the track record I wouldn't say you could completely say that it is yours coz the track itself hasn't changed just the tyre compound it's like in actual car racing for example Formula 1 has alot of diffent tyre compounds but only one track record.

But hey you are close enough that it is in reach just keep it up and I am sure you can get it to become yours.

Yeah i know I can't actually claim the record

The track does change alot week to week, grip levels and barrier loaction mainly

But not the actual layout.

So keep trying at it buddy you'll get it.

hmmm I'm a bit worried now,

I'm coming 3rd out of 20 or so but I just don't think i can beat the top 2 for pace

but then again, It's not over until the fat lady sings

That and 3rd is nothing to sneeze at buddy.

Vince didn't turn up tonight because of work which was a shame.

A few heated heads resulted because of VERY strict marshaling but some of the drivers don't seem to understand some of the fundamentals of racing. (In the top group its usually pretty clean racing thankfully, I'm just feeling for my brother who is in which a bunch of retards lol)

(Aaron doesn't count because he keeps dropping down into the slower group and getting max points lol)


Me and scott are Very equal when on the track, usually with ~0.01 seconds between us when we have equal karts.

Pressures on lol I have lost some pace in these last weeks with the track loosing lots of grip but next week they are going to try and get some grippy tyres back on the karts, so that might be to my advantage.

We'll see how it pans out

Grand final was tonight.

The last 2 rounds i wasn't so quick but was good at defensive driving. Came out with a 3rd Place over all.

Scott won with 202 points
David came from behind to claim 2nd on 194
Me on 185
Greg on 170

I thought greg had me for a while (im not sure that those points are %100) but yeah, I got a trophy and $100

David used to have the lap record for the track and scott used to work at the go-kart place, so I don't mind being beaten by them haha

Good work buddy very impressive.

I now have the ~6th fastest lap [says 10th but alot of them weren't real] on the track ever with an 18:180
