Hey guys im gunna be putting stuff up here about my vl as it happens. At the moment its rusting away unrego'd in the driveway how sad too bad.
It made 211 Horsepower 158 Killowatts at the wheels last year at singleton show with minor mods. Considering it makes 150 kw at the flywheel from factory i think it is a good start. Pics to come in near future.......

its not a 8 kw gain stitch, because it had 150 at the flywheel and now its got 158 at the wheels. you lose 30% give or take a couple of % through the drive line. so if my calculations are correct thats a 45 kw gain at the flywheel.

yes the rb20 is a inline twin cam six cylinder turbo from the r32 skyline gtst. it is a 2 litre six so its the baby of the nissan six family.
heres something a lot of people dont know, that the skyline is actually heavier than the vl. so therefore it goes better in the vl straight away. it revs to 8500 rpm too, oh yeah gotta love them revs.

Ok i have found and purchased a new shell, pics as soon as possible. it is in good condition is registered and has a few added extras i was looking for. Like a group a front bar, nice paint and manual. the motor and gearbox will be sold along with a pioneer cd player and 6 x 9's. I will be starting the engine swap as soon as possible and will keep you updated. there will be pics of the whole thing as it progresses.
