well starters green and every other colour is illegal exept black lights theres nothin said that there not it rta web site states every other colour but them,

so my advice i wouldnt get em even if u have them on the not switched on u can still get deffected 4 em as there illegal fullstop

but its ur car if u want em on u have em on im not here 2 say wat u can and cant have just helping


yes they can b hooked up 2 a switch so u can turn them on/off when ever it just depends on how u want it wired in

Well i talk from experience with neons/LED's/strobes i went through $1000+ on them before finding them the biggest waist of money ever.
The reasons being:

1. They break really easily especially underglows
2. The wiring can be an absolute pr**k or the wires break easily
3. You can never hardly use them at all (including stationary)
4. Hiding the globes are harder than it sounds
5. Gets you a nice defect plus anything else you got "wrong" with the vehicle
6. The money can best spent elsewhere

Yeah they are cool for a while but after a short period you get over them and they really can't be used at all for anything else or they are wrecked.

Yeah they are a wast, i got defected with them on me car, they wheren't even connected , no wire's runing , so pissed me off that night

Ok guys heres a clue for any type of modification to your car.

If it deviates from standard, is not fitted from the factory it will be deemed as illegal by the police. Unless you have a engineers certifacate for said modification. In saying that the police can overide a engineers certificate and make you go for a blue slip to make sure it is legal.


I know this because i am going through engineering with my vl right now.

in other words they do it cause they can, they make there own rules as they go

or to make sure its not dodgey

Iv had neons on my car for the past 3 yrs iv been ova the pits n all n they havnt said aword about it.. Iv also had police pull me ova with ones under my car they didnt say nythin bout them evn though they were lookin at my car wen they were on

What you guys have to remember is that when the highway patrol gather in the morning they are givin specific items to target. So if its not neons then they will generally leave you alone. In saying that they have been targeting offset number plates for a while now because it makes it hard for red light, and speed cameras to get a clear shot of your plates.
