|
|
Hey hey everyone,
Basically leaving for the army in about a month, so before i go, i wanted to do one last cruise before, but something with a bit more fun
***UPDATED***
meet: Thorton BP 9:30am for a 10:00am departure.
lunch: 1pm (ish) at wisemans ferry, hopefully abit earlier, fuel up if we need to.
putty road: 2pm (2:30pm as absoulte latest to be on the road after lunch)
return: Thorton BP around 5-5:30pm if all goes to plan, may be abit earlier or later depending on how quick or slow we drive.
*** UPDATED***
Like the topic suggests:
Either Wiseman's ferry
or
Old putty road
I'm thinking Wiseman's ferry as it has a pub at the end that we can all have lunch at.
If anyone hasn't done this before, check it up on youtube or the net, these roads are honestly some of the best in NSW and they are alot of fun lol
So roughly in three weeks (maybe 4) so roughly either:
September 12/13 or 19/20
If you're keen, come along, i'm trying to gather some other mates for another run again, you'll be surprised how many car enthusiasts hit these roads, particularly the Wiseman's ferry run
Also, just a side note, these roads are fair demanding, you will hit fast sweeping corners, blind left then rights, it's intense in some areas
thanks meta _________________ Horses for Courses |

This might give you an idea of what you'd be driving if we hit the wiseman's ferry run

that's old putty
Both roads are twisty, wiseman's ferry is alittle more demanding, i haven't driven putty yet, but it looks alot easier lol _________________ Horses for Courses |

yeah, i spoke to a few other mates, and the 20th sounds good to everyone, though, at the moment, i still have some undecided on whether they want putty road, as a couple of mates have hit it up and said that it's rough going along it, but yeah, i'm still open to suggestions, if not the putty or wiseman's ferry, could do a run just to the central coast for lunch or something, either way, i'm keen to drive lol
Hey kyle, do you think you'll have the 86 road ready by then? _________________ Horses for Courses |

i've done both wisemas ferry run, and putty road, they are both very good for spirited driving, both have very good bits, and both have bumpy sections, i think wisemans is more scenic.
i dont really care which one aye, but i'm always keen for a good drive on some nice roads, so i would prefer wisemans or putty over a central coast run, but i'm up for whatever.
btw, mods, this should be in cruises section _________________

hey wrighty, doesn't sound like a bad idea, though it all depends on how much petrol everyone has cause it's not like we'll be driving easy through either of the roads, but i don't mind that idea at all
As for the roads, wiseman's is fair fun, you're right though jozlod, both have their ups and downs, from what i remember of wiseman's it was fair bumpy lol, tight corners and was quite exhilarating, i'm thinking more wiseman's ferry though as it has a nice half way spot, a kool ferry and a nice pub for lunch
So is everyone down for a wiseman's ferry run then? _________________ Horses for Courses |
