And so it begins......
I started to get my stuff together today to pull the donk out of the old shell. Will be puting up on a stand and repainting the block and all other fancy bits for a nice clean look.
while im at it im fitting a bigger turbo in the form of a rb25 turbo because it isnt ceramic and i can run more than 12 pounds of boost.
While the box is off i will be checking my three puck brass button clutch and trying to find out why i cant snap it in to second gear at high revs. Lost me many a race. gggrrrrr.

sounds like second gear syncro, done 1 of them the other week on a scanis truck g/b same reason u have, well apart from the racing part lol but at high revs

only does it past 4500rpm any other time its fine like just cruizin and stuff

u prob wont do this but i have heard of ppl makin extra oil grooves in the sincro 2 slow it down abit more, very bodgy just a cheap thought..mybe i dunno ive only heard never seen it done, but id say dont do it lol

We put auto gearbox oil in mine and it helped alot.

Thanx guys for your suggestions but im running shock proof gearbox oil its the bomb diggety. Its bloody expensive. I think its the box or the clutch!

Ok here's an update. The engine is coming out of the old vl soon, and will be going in to the new vl on the easter long weekend. And i would also like to thank kevin rudd for financing the new turbo upgrade, thanks mate.
