hey hey guys,

If you guys are down for helping, i need some help lol

how good are you guys with a dremel drill? lol, i'm keen as to get this cold air intake set up on the mx while it's on jacks, need to cut a 2 1/2 inch - 3inch hole in the fire wall, fab up a bracket for my washer bottle and afm and then flexi hose the pod filter to the hole

Aside from that, i need to check my timing out, i got a mate to advance it to 14 BTDC from 10, but i don't know if he did it right, so i'm keen to get back on it and move it up to 16BTDC if it's wrong, i would myself, but i don't have a timing light...was planning to get one this week... (damn concrete barrier! Evil or Very Mad )

But yeah, if you guys are keen with that type of stuff, i'm also looking for a place i can get the head shaved so i can up a little compression lol and if all goes well with ebay, grabs some extractors...so abit of mechanical help lol

have you checked with the RTA if what you are planning to do with your pod filter is legal? i did that with my applause... cut a hole in the fire wall just above my pedals behind the cluster and stuck my pod there! it was NOISY AS HELL and i got defected for it :/ not to mention the EPA (environmental protection agency) was threatening to take legal action against me.. not because of the over size hole in the fire wall but because of the location of the air filter and the fact that it was a pod:(

personally i wouldn't do it again, mainly just for noise factor... have you considered boxing off a corner of your front bar and hiding it down there? i had my pod filter hidden in the far drivers side of the standard front bar in my soarer before i put the after market front bar on.. never got defected for it there Razz

hey hey everyone, need some help with getting the tie rod free from the steering rack.

Basically have the right side of the mx disassembled and ready for parts....the only part left is this damn tie rod!

So, if anyone know's how to get them free, hit me or call me on 0411842942, i'm basically considering getting an oxy torch...(my frustration is through the roof!)

yea its drakes tho as i said in the other post im pretty sure he will lend it, also have u tried using 2 hammers ?? may b easier.... spray the balljoint with wd-40 or water u got, take ur nut off first, than hold a like a 4 pound / big hammer on 1 size and a smaller or same size 2 hit with on the other side, works well, if that fails or u just want the puller will c wat i can do

it was fixed for a few months but its screwing up again, im gonna try stitch's idea and bodge up some wires and test it again, then may send it off to the auto elec, its just gonna be hard finding where the wires go, everything's in looms and theres no room under the bonnet
