what kinda stuff is he running , like is he running a sound system , to most likely thing to burn out the coil's is that the current is flowing the wrong way, i think , been a while since i have had to look at this kinda problem

well i thought i solved this problem, well i did....until now Sad was driving home last night and my lights went dim, then lost tacho, headunit flashing on and off, car started going jumpy then slowed down to 20kph i looked out my mirror and there was flames comming outta the cannon then finally got home and the inside of the cannon was red hot, got up thismorning, jumpstarted the car and it ran perfectly, went into repco and asked and brownie (ex mechanic) asked me to bring it in, and he looked at it, tested a few things and we worked out the alternators not charging my battery properly when my lights and stereo are on, so i gotta take it to another auto elec and pay lots of money Sad has anyone got any ideas? i noticed there's an auto elec on here somewhere but i cant find him?
