G'day, was referred here by Matt (maximum exertion) after I bought an amp off him. Figured I may as well throw up some details.

I'm 18, live in Belmont and have a VH SL/X wagon. 202 blue, trimatic and totally stock, aside from some minor interior mods and 15" chasers the previous owner threw on. It's very much like the one Wagonz has, pretty much the only difference is the nose, and of course he has the nissan 3.0L 6 as opposed to the holden donk in mine.

Currently in the middle of getting my stereo sorted, which consists of:
RF splits up front in pods on the front doors
Jaycar kevlar splits in the rear, planning on fibreglassing them into the rear corners of the boot.
2xAlpine type S 12" subs, 300wRMS each, dual voice coil.
E-Audio1000D, the amp I picked up off Matt.
At the moment I don't have a 4ch amp for the splits, but the way things are going I'll probably give Matt a call about an axis amp he showed me in a catalogue when I picked up the mono (if you read this, what are the measurements of the Axis 4 channel amp that was 75w per channel?)

After that it's Solex locks, shave the lock on the boot and get a decent alarm seeing as I can open and start this thing with my mums old VB key. Also have to polish and fit an SLE rear bar and some VL side mirrors.

Time for pictures. Since these were taken I've been rear ended TWICE while parked at work, once on either side. At the moment the rear bar is slightly bent, as are the mounts and the tailgate is pretty much FUBAR'd. I also managed to put the car through our shed door due to a dodgy inhibitor switch, but the car didn't sustain any damage Laughing Good old steel bumpers.

You probably wouldn't believe it, but a manual VL that's unreg'd came up for sale not very far from my house, I'm gonna try and con a mate into buying it with me to thrash around in for a while, then I'll give him a little extra cash so I can keep the car, rebuild the RB30 and slap it in. I'm happy with the car as it is, but when the oppurtunity for cheap power comes along who am I to say no?

I'm a fan of the chrome too, it's a bit cloudy but I've been polishing it slowly since I got the car. Also managed to pick up replacement mylar plastic pretend chrome crap to throw into the front/rear windscreen rubbers. I want to replace the tail gate before I do it though, seeing as this one is dinted to the shithouse.

Difference between polished and unpolished.
Future plans that a set in concrete are only the things in the first post, possible plans are the RB30.

Quick question, did you get your RB30 from a wagon, and did you have to do anything special to do the conversion, or just the usual dicking around with unleaded fuel lines/tanks/pumps and battery relocation?

Cheers for the well wishes guys, looking forward to cruising with you soon. I may be along for the CC-Newcastle cruise, look out for me.

Hmm yea it is good conversion.
I have injected 202 manual with cam and exhuast that is in a vc wagon, you could use that if wanted.

Is that the chrome that talking about?
I looked at rarespares and it is the same as that.
I had a sedan and wagon, the wagon fuel lines are differnt at back, can use sedan ones but. Depends what dash setup you want, because vb-h has differnt air setup, maybe could put vl cluster in the vh dash or soemthing idk i put the whole vl dash in. Yea thats right the rest is pretty easy, for gearbox crossmember some people buy them from the rod shop. On mine i used a vl rubber and vb crossmember and i just had to elongate holes.
And there is less room for extractors and cat so it will have to sit lower.

Looking forward to seeing the wagon.

Mine was bought second hand for $25 (including removal/installation tool), fairly sure that's the stuff though. I wanted to restore all my chrome and all I needed (as far as I knew at the time) was an SL/E bar, that stuff and some autosol. I have all 3 of those things and am slowly working on getting it all up to scratch.

I'm hoping I can get my mate on board as far as the RB30 goes, with any luck I'll be able to borrow his shed+tools. That's some good news on the conversion front too. Hope to see your wagon around too mate. Will you be hitting the Gosford-Newcastle cruise this weekend?

For interests sake, don't speed around an orange BA/BF falcon with the plates AP-47-JI, just saw it pull over 2 people around Belmont was rather amusing as I knew the second car it pulled over and knew it wasn't doing anything wrong.

Also, Matt/ME, you're a legend, PM sent regarding 4ch amp. You were right about this forum. Cheers for the link chief!
