Dates for next lan!!
5th-6th December
adding cod6 and left for dead 2 to the game line up!

below is the promo for last lan, its pretty much the same thing though as this one, ask me if you have any more questions

So i am running a LAN party once again, for anyone that is interested. let us know if you have any questions or wanna know anymore.

details as follows:

Date: 1st-2nd August
Time: 5:30pm Saturday till whenever Sunday
Location: Charlestown SDA Church Hall (Across from the charlie public swimming pool)
Bring: A working computer, a network cable, powerboard and anything else you want to bring that makes you an uber gamer
Bring if you can: Friends, spare network cables, a comfy chair if you want, sleeping bag if you want to sleep (and pillow), power food to keep you up all night etc
Supplied: Tables, chairs(plastic), some drinks and snacks, power, games and fun

Info: We're not heaps serious gamers alot of us, just like abit of fun and shooting and smashing, let me know if you want any more info. let me know if your keen, and if you wanna ask a few mates, let us know and it should be all good. The games list is by no means what we have to play, its just some thoughts, and games that we know works well, and run on most computers.

We will as usual have a console set up on the projector, for those that arent as keen on gaming, or didnt bring a comptuer and are bored.

There are alot of games just about to come out, and will be ready for our end of year lan, so this lan we will have to make do with what we have.

anyway, had a blast of a night and day
had 14 people, lots of cod4, lots of grid, and a bunch of other stuff aswell.

next one is happening!

5th and 6th December, so coming up soon.

basically the same story as the last one, except we will be on a few new games, such as cod6 (modern warfare 2) and left for dead 2,

hopefully will have Dirt 2 aswell, assuming can get it in time. and as always anything else that happens to be fun and we play

See what I can do I may show up to this one might even bring out a couple of 360's if everything goes well.

Mad. Definitely interested in this one. Bought modern warfare 2 today, about to hit up some multiplayer for the first time. Wish me luck.

Simon, If I am not working, I will come, but I won't know until my roster comes out mate. I will keep you posted, I really want to come to one though!

Lack of dedicated servers is insane, that's for sure. It's good fun, but I'd prefer a lag free game. Whether or not you get one comes down to pure luck. IW has put plenty of things in place to help make the lag more tolerable, but in the time they spent developing those they could've had dedicated servers and eliminated the need for it. Very disappointed while at the same time very pleased.

They would if it was possible. Infinity Ward axed dedicated servers in support of console style matchmaking. If you end up buying it g2play.com has it cheapest, around $45, but you'll have to download the game from steam as they only give you the CD key. The box doesn't have anything special in it anyway. Either that or you can borrow my game disks, a 13gb download probably wouldn't be all that fun.

I can't believe my video card gave up the ghost so close to a LAN event. I don't finish work til 8 any way but it would've been a good 12-14 hours of gaming.

Hopefully I'll get over there to check it out.

we had a good time, lots of cod4, as steam stopped us playing lan on mw2

played some left for dead was good fun too, some good zombie killing

and dirt 2 was defiantly good fun aswell.
