sounds like a fun project, this isn't going to a over night project and i hope you have a very healthy back account as this project wont be cheap even if you do it yourself, but good luck with your new project.

...you might want to talk to an automotive engineer about this before you start to see what things are necessary for such a major conversion - otherwise youll never get it regoed again.
RWD conversion is a pretty majour undertaking, especially when you have limited space up front. you dont want to start moving firewalls etc.
Also, why not keep the engine in an east west position and drop a GTIR AWD system in it with an sr20det... as far as i know it should be a pretty easy fit... just a thought...
Youll be up for 10-20k regardless of how this project is done.
Personally, id just spend the money on a 2yo typhoon if you really want a ute. Wink

as i have said b4 i want sumthing DIFFERENT!!! and if i cant get it engineerd it will a trailer queen as stated b4, gti-r with sr20det east-west motor is no good, its more modifacation and lose torque and hp with it set up like that, compared 2 the supercharged rear wheel drive wit a short tail shaft i will lose very little torque and hp, the fire wall will only be made a bit bigger on the bottom 2 fit the bellhousing, and will b reingforced, and again stated i know it will cost alot of money but i want sumthing different, yea every1 got utes and they all look the same so i want a ute thats has nice looks and goes well 2 turn heads sumthin unique
